Ten companies became the winners in six nominations from among small and medium-sized businesses. They showed the most significant achievements in the field of export activities.

According to the results of the first half of 2020, the Sverdlovsk Region took the third place in terms of the volume of non-resource non-energy exports. 2.3 thousand enterprises supply their products to foreign markets. Small and medium of them – more than a thousand.
«The Sverdlovsk Region is one of the leading export entities in the country. The “Exporter of the Year” competition is an integral part of the regional policy for supporting SMEs and is implemented within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives”. Today we are faced with the task of increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses in exports from the current 5% to 9% by 2024, – said the Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region Victoria Kazakova».
The head of the department added that this year the regional competition was held simultaneously with the All-Russian premium in the field of international cooperation and export “Exporter of the Year”. A single platform was offered to the business for accepting applications and documents – the website of the Russian Export Center, what allowed companies to take part in both competitions.
The Export Support Center, which operates on the base of the fund, in 11 months of 2020 it provided support to 346 small and medium-sized businesses, as a result of which 91 companies entered into 238 export supply contracts for the amount of $ 25.6 million.
A set of prizes is provided for each winner, including a built-up stand at an international exhibition in the country or abroad in 2021.
In the nomination “Exporter of the Year. Breakthrough of the Year ” won “ Shaker Tech ”LLC (Yekaterinburg). The company creates automated fitness bars. Partner countries: United Kingdom, Qatar, Spain, Germany, Montenegro, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Belarus.
«We make machines for fitness clubs that prepare protein shakes. We went out for export recently – in 2019. We have been cooperating with the fund since 2018. He helped get the equipment`s certification», – said the general director of “Shaker Tech” Andrey Romodin.
